Buzzy Wear Fundraisers

The School Spirit Wear or "Buzzy Wear" is all about the Annual fund. 

It goes directly to the school to help where it is needed.

We have made the " The Hornets  Nest"  the official school store so you can get your exclusive SSPP merchandise and allows the school to keep the money made off of these products.

 "Buzzy" was created to help with school spirit and give the kids a mascot to help express their identity as the SS. Peter and Paul Hornets.

"Buzzy" started on the back of a kids menu place mat from Outlaw Blues restaurant in Ofallon, Illinois.

About one week later,  the final version of "Buzzy" was complete and he made his debut Sept. 19th, 2009, on a Banner in the Italian Fest parade for the Kg Soccer team to show off their school spirit.  In late November '09 we had our first "Buzzy" wear Fundraiser .

We are in a very unique situation because I am a graphic artist at a sports shop and I try to get the lowest price on apparel so we can generate as much money as possible for the annual fund.

We want to do 3 fundraisers a year:

1. "Back To Stinging" -  when the kids start school in the fall.

2.  "Bells Will Be Stinging" - to start mid to late Nov. and delivery will be in time for Christmas.

3.  "Sting Into Spring" - a brightly colored fundraiser (Neon colors and tie dies).

We will also open the "Hornets Nest" stand at various sporting events and other special times with one of a kind items only available at the Nest!

-On a side note-

 We (The Trexler's) do not make any profit what-so-ever off of any items sold either through items we offer via the "Hornets Nest" or through any of our fundraisers that we run.

The Items sold at the "Hornets Nest" were not bought by the school, so there is no leftover/unsold merchandise - these items were purchased at my cost and bought by sponsors we have gotten.  We (The Trexler's) did all the decoration to the products on our own time - and we do this all to raise money for the Annual Fund and some items have gone to help raise funds to purchase our "Buzzy" mascot costume.
